There’s this guy in my room. He signed up in August, just a few months after I launched my LIVE Trading Room service. Right away I could tell he was happy, attentive, curious and complimentary. He engages every day in the trading room with good questions and closes every session with a personal thank you. A perfect new client.

As I was getting my sea legs running a LIVE trading room, Steve was very patient. He even gave feedback on my new ideas — like building a live portfolio of my Chase, Swing and Trend trades with real-time tracking for clients via Web, SMS and Email. He knows I ‘get busy’ scanning and synthesizing the market open for actionable trades and knows my specialty is Swing trading so he offered to assist with data entry of my Chases (trades that are super time sensitive and may last only a few hours or days). He even offered to help track unusual option activity on stocks I’m stalking so I can totally focus on analyzing, educating and trading. What a guy!

I figured I had nothing to lose so I called him to see if he was ‘okay’, you know, ‘okay in the head’ since after all, he was paying me every month AND offering to support my trader education business and trade management?!? He turns out to be more than normal. He’s worked for Fidelity as a portfolio manager. He’s married to a doctor and lives in La Jolla, CA. I said ‘okay’ you can help me.

I was immediately impressed he could put up with my ‘squirrel tendencies’ in the room. He works hard to figure out my ‘system’ and quietly, without frustration in his words, waits for my trade set ups. While he’s waiting one day…he tells me of a quantitative system he has built that has a high win rate. He is a swing trader (occasionally Chases, regularly manages income investments), and loves combining my Macro-to-Micro analysis (technical, intermarket, fundamental…) with his objective Quant signals.

He offers to track them in my newly-built portfolio tracking system. I am at first a little weary since I’m no quant, but I can see his signals are good. Technically, they make sense in certain market conditions. We collaborate. He bounces his signals off me for context, timing and judgment. Sometimes he likes my advice but he decides what to take and not to take. He trades both stock and options and employs wider stop losses than I am comfortable. He is more than selective and I trade a lot.

I offer to include his quant trades into his very own LIVE Trade Log which I make viewable for members and post it just below my LIVE Trade Log on our LaDucTrading Members Daily Catch page.

It’s only been a month now, but he has a 100% hit rate.

That’s not click bait. That’s just math. I’m proud of him. Grateful to collaborate with and champion him. Excited to share and looking forward to collaborating on two new strategies we are going to launch soon – available to LaDucTrading members – and also available via real-time Trade Alerts: web/SMS/email.

In the mean-time, I’m trying to keep up. You can see how we are both faring here – closed trades only for non members. For open trades, you need to get onboard.

Happy Trading,

Samantha
